Writing a summary of the Detour France is not an easy task. To summarise an 11 day and 20 hours adventure in a few words remains a difficulty. To provide a good transcription that precisely reflects the events is impossible, as lack of sleep seems to make feelings and memories lost in a foggy cloud. Indeed, I recall everything. I remember everything I've seen, said, heard, shared, felt. I remember details and generalities. I remember good moments and others not so good: I remember moments of tension and moments of euphoria. I recall all my sensations... Yet I cannot place them in any chronological order. If most of my memories remain linked to places, others seem to remain in a vague and timeless fog. Several summaries have already been published in the press, but the stories will be left for winter evenings. Recently I have submitted myself to your questions, and I now will now give the answers.

As part of the preparation of his "Detour France", he decided that the raid challenge of the ‘7 Majeurs’ was a must...
As far as I remember, the Vosges, 1992, a backpack loaded with 25kg, a green khaki outfit, a pair of rangers on my feet, a commando training week. Was it a micro-nap or just a state of sub consciousness? In short, several days to trudge nature, night walks, you catch the strap of the backpack of one in front of you and you close your eyes. You close your eyes, but you continue to walk.
De Hel van Kasterlee, I did it (again)! It is the same every time. I always tell myself "never again" and then later ... forget. The 2013 edition of the "Hell of Kasterlee" will again remain carved in the memory with a third of non-finishers. It's not the distances of this Winter Duathlon themselves (15 km running, 105 km biking and 30 km running), but once again, the weather conditions that mark the occasion.
